Wise Words – September 2022 – On The Intelligentsia’s Failure As Prophets – Plus

On the intelligentsia’s failure as prophets:

They were wrong about Trump,
They were wrong about Brexit,
They were wrong about Covid,
They wrong about the ‘VacCIne’
They were wrong about the Ukraine,
They were wrong about energy.

So why are you still listening to them?

You shut down your business because they told you Covid was a plague.
Your energy costs have skyrocketed because they told you ‘we must stand with Ukraine.’
Your business may go bankrupt as a result.

The Oxbridge set are not as smart as they think they are. Denying God and steeped in sin, their hearts are darkened. Thus, they can’t think straight.

That’s why the technocrats make error after error.

How has this come about? Here is a clue. From St. Paul’s Epistle to the Romans, (abridged, and with my emphasis):

“… [21] Because that, when they knew God, they have not glorified him as God, or given thanks; but became vain in their thoughts, and their foolish heart was darkened. [22] For professing themselves to be wise, they became fools. [23] And they changed the glory of the incorruptible God into the likeness of the image of a corruptible man, and of birds, and of fourfooted beasts, and of creeping things. [24] Wherefore God gave them up to the desires of their heart, unto uncleanness, to dishonour their own bodies among themselves. [25] Who changed the truth of God into a lie; and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

[26] For this cause God delivered them up to shameful affections. For their women have changed the natural use into that use which is against nature. [27] And, in like manner, the men also, leaving the natural use of the women, have burned in their lusts one towards another, men with men working that which is filthy, and receiving in themselves the recompense which was due to their error.

[28] And as they liked not to have God in their knowledge, God delivered them up to a reprobate sense. …

============= On Elon Musk vs. Twitter:

It’s easy to work out who’s human and who’s a bot on a website. An honest vendor would say “We’ve got X% of site visitors we’re sure are human, and here are their demographics.”

Major corporations can sift that information quite easily. They can afford expert staff, bought-in databases and high-end software. A human visitor to a website (who also naturally interacts with other websites) leaves a trail.

Another human being, on £30k a year, looking at hit logs with parsing software, can work out who real and who’s not.

e.g.

‘RUSSupreme’ leaves three anti-Ukraine posts on Twitter at exactly 3am over three days and then nothing for another week …

vs:

‘WorriedofIslington’ with a North London IP address who posts his umbrage about The Tories 8pm-ish most days, Mon- Fri (after his vegan dinner.)

Elon Musk is putting his thumb on a sore spot of ‘the body corporate:’

“How may human visitors does your website actually get?”

Related question:

“How many entities who are clicking on MY expensive ads on YOUR website are a) human and b) actually interested in my product, who will then go on to c) make a purchase?”

Companies who sell advertising do not like this line of enquiry. If they start burbling in response, you walk away. Which is what Elon Musk is trying to do.

That he may have already known fine well that Twitter has a high proportion of bots, and started the purchase process solely to bring it to heel, is a story for another day 🙂

============ On mainstream media:

You find out how accurate journalists, as a class, are, are when they write about a subject you know intimately.

(Hint: They’re often badly wrong.)

Test it yourself: go to any major public event and see how the national papers subsequently report it.

============ On opera and ballet:

I realised I was not a homosexual when I couldn’t bring myself to like ballet and opera. Those are very strange, stylised forms of entertainment.

I really did try to like opera in the past, but the two performances I went to see I found to have no catchy melodies. I also got Carmen out on DVD and found it strangely stylised. I truly don’t see why one should worship that art-form. In my opinion, one could save a lot of time by getting a ‘Greatest Arias CD’ and leave it at that.

As for ballet, I find the revealing clothing of the dancers repulsive and their exaggerated posturing, narcissian.

============ On the current anti-pope:

Words you could use to describe Bp. Jorge Begoglio: Peronist, Marxist, Protestant, Argentinian, and he can’t seem to rise beyond these labels.

For me, he is the post-VII mindset in human form: ‘chase after the people and the fashions of the day, rather than lead your flock to Heaven.’

He reminds me of the avuncular priests who were quasi-popular in my youth; their behaviour would cause a stir, there would be temporary interest from the public, then later, the public fall away, and sometimes, later, the personal ‘crash’; a public scandal.

It’s just too bad bishops and seminaries don’t seem to know what a priest IS; if they did, they would be a good deal more sober in their behaviour.

“Thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek” are amongst the most stirring words in the Bible.

Some behaviour of modern priests can definitely be explained by very poor formation and the selection process itself. It’s sad.

Support holy priests and bishops and politely correct in private any decent man who is going astray.

If there’s dancing in your local church at mass, however, you might be obliged to shout your opposition, during it!

=========== On modern self-indulgence:

The West is suffering from affluenza. Humans cannot tolerate excessive wealth and prosperity. Most of human history has been a daily fight for  survival.

If humans don’t have this daily struggle, they start inventing fake problems like transgenderism, systemic racism, climate change, etc. They turn into whiny adolescents who take umbrage if they are contradicted. They indulge every whim, no matter how destructive.

A human’s social development can be stalled at the infantile or adolescent stages; the stark facts of life are not impressed upon them and they fail to progress to the next stage.

A nation with enough such retards in positions of influence will likely end up imploding. After that, it will likely be invaded by external powers who sneer at their effeminacy.

=========== GloboSodoCommuCorp is anti-Christian:

‘Christofascist’ is a neologism I’ve seen on Left-dominated sites I go on. Prepare your rebuttals. Communism, like Islam, makes a cultural desert. The mob won’t stop until the cathedral is bare.

Socialism is a heresy of Communism. A socialist is a communist who’s embarrassed by the history of communism.

Every socialist believes he has the right to take the product of the sweat of your brow and spend it as he sees fit. If you will not comply, he thinks it  proper that you be coerced.

The most repulsive socialists are the ones who come from wealthy families; they are traitors to their sex, family, society and their country. They will aid the wrecking of their country and rejoice in the sacking of their parliament. (When they start objecting to the brutal regime they’ve ushered in, they are then executed on the orders of their Glorious Leader.)

If people use the word ‘fascist’ in an argument, you should stop debating them, and say why. It’s trite, and they may be setting up a straw man, to get you to bluster about a position you don’t take. Even if you win, they’ve tarred you with that word.

Likewise, ‘racist,’ and swearing. No point in proceeding further in the debate. You can educate them by explaining why.
